COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Due to budget cuts Bristol City Council wound up its neighbourhood partnership structure in March 2017. The Henleaze Forum continues to meet thanks to the lead taken by the Henleaze Society. The new community led Bishopston, Cotham and Redland Community Partnership covers that part of Westbury Park lying in Redland Ward.
The Henleaze Forum meets quarterly to enable local people to raise and be kept informed about issues such as traffic and parking, changes to bus services, open spaces and park proposals, local crime, etc. The Forum meetings are attended by community police representatives and ward councillors, providing a valuable two way channel of communication.
Bishopston, Redland and Cotham Community Partnership membership is drawn from local community groups in the three wards and from individuals interested in community affairs. The Partnership holds three ward based forums a year and topic based forums as required (eg. on Community Infrastructure Levy proposals), again providing an accessible channel of communication between residents and decision makers. More information on the Community Partnership can be found at www.bcrcp.org.uk
